Podcast Portfolio
I’ve been podcasting since 2016, producing hundreds of hours of audio content and over a million downloads.
When I decided I wanted to get into the audio creative space I built my own project called Reflection Podcast to help me improve my skills in interviewing and writing monologues, learn how to edit audio, and figure out the tools and landscape of web hosting for podcasts. I then launched the Legendary Creature Podcast with a friend, which has been airing regularly since 2017. I have also produced and hosted podcast episodes for University of Utah Health as part of their Scope Radio network.
Reflection Podcast
Reflection Podcast at its core was a project with a simple mission: capture thoughts, stories, and reflections from everyday people. I started by interviewing a few friends to see what I could create. I then launched full force into the project and spent several months traveling around the US to find strangers willing to chat. What emerged was a multi-medium project. I shared podcast-style audio with stories and reflections from friends and strangers, and recorded my own thoughts and writings as I explored the creative possibilities of audio and connected with people through this human interest project.

Once I concluded the Reflection Podcast project, I launched a podcast with a friend to talk about the popular trading card game Magic: the Gathering. Legendary Creature Podcast has been running consistently ever since its launch in 2017. At its core, Legendary Creature Podcast is meant to be an informative podcast that feels like a conversation listeners are having with their friends, talking about a favorite pasttime.
University of Utah Health Podcasts
I’ve done extensive work on a University of Utah Health project called Pioneering the Future. Here, we created a series of multimedia pieces that explore scientific discoveries and innovations in health sciences at the University of Utah. As a part of that project, I did a handful of interviews that were included in the Scope Radio network of podcasts at U of U Health. I interviewed scientists who were featured in the pieces and sought to bring their scientific breakthroughs into a more digestable space for the lay person.
