Vodcasting the Legendary Creature Podcast

Taking an exclusively auditory medium and adding visuals to that existing product isn't always an intuitive endeavor. Below you'll find some samples of things we've done to make our podcast something rich for the more visually inclined.

Custom Intros

While our video intros may not dial in the same eclectic mix of movie samples and unique music as our audio only podcasts, we do sometimes go out of our way to produce a custom intro for our videos too. Some ideas are just too fun to resist.

Illustrating Complex Ideas

Because Magic: the Gathering is a vast card game with a host of possibilities, it stands to reason that there are times that discussion makes a foray into complex interactions. While many who are familiar with the game will find it reasonable to follow the conversation, some may need a little visual demonstration. We do often simply show cards and discuss them, but we make efforts to illustrate complex card combinations to help the more visually inclined.

Visual aids have a sweet spot where they need to land. Some people need something visual to engage with your subject matter. But if you give too much, over-stimulation distracts your audience. That’s why we work hard to make sure that our vodcast gives people visual cues that pair with our discussion and give them a visual break to concentrate on the conversation too.
